Labour India inaugurated the silver jubilee year with gaiety. The celebration began with a solemn ceremony held at 9 AM on 5th October 2007 in the conference hall of the Labour India Educational Research Centre Complex. The programme began with a prayer and was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Mr. V. J. George Kulangara, Chairman, Mr. Santhosh George Kulangara, the Managing Director, Prof. S. Sivadas, Chief Editor, and other dignitaries. Mr. Santhosh George Kulangara delivered an inspiring speech emphasising the achievements and the goals of the Research Centre. The chairman in his speech carried the listeners back to the early years of the Research Centre in its budding stages. The chairman ruminated over all the valuable services rendered by many towards the growth of the establishment. The chairman also talked about various historic events, forthcoming activities, challenges in the coming years, plans for the future and so on. It was also an occasion of confluence of four generations as Mr. Joseph, father of Mr. V. J. George Kulangara, his son Santhosh George Kulangara and his grandson two-year-old George were present on the dais.
